North Charleston police arrest man in connection with Gordon Street shooting
North Charleston police arrested a man in connection with a shootout and attempted armed robbery on Gordon Street.
Police charged Terrence Kendall McNeil Jr., 17, of Bexley Street with attempted robbery, attempted murder, and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, spokesman Spencer Pryor said.
The arrest was made Wednesday night in connection with an incident that happened Sunday.
Herbert Louis Frasier III, 20, of Leeds Avenue was shot in the left wrist, according to the incident report.
Frasier told police a man known as “T” and another man, both with guns, tried to rob him when he was sitting in his car on Gordon Street about 3:20 p.m.
Frasier also told police he fired back at the men as they ran away.
McNeil showed up at Medical University Hospital with a gunshot wound to his neck and face area Sunday afternoon. He was later arrested at St. Charles Place Apartments, Pryor said.
McNeil is expected to have a bond hearing today, Pryor said.
