SEE AND BE SCENE: Aarti Narang represents an Indian princess at the Carifest Masquerade Fete held at the International Longshoreman's Hall, 6/15.

Part of the three-day Carifest, a celebration of all things Caribbean, Jamaican in particular as they're the country of choice as it's celebrating 50 years of independence, was the Friday night Masquerade Fete. Attendees donned Mardi Gras masks and enjoying a dinner of Jamaican dishes followed by dancing to soca and reggae music at the International Longshoreman’s Hall on Morrison Drive. Proceeds benefitted the Carifest Children’s Steel Band Project.
