June 24, 2012 - Charleston dancers took over Friday at the Dance Block Party, a fundraiser for the inaugural Charleston Dance Festival scheduled for September. The block party, held at Dancefx Studios featured performances by Home Spun Hoops, Annex Dance, Hot Jazz Dance Club, WO’SE Dance Theatre, Charleston Dance Center, Dancefx's The Charleston Dance Project, Slow Jamz Hip Hop Crew and more. Dance battles “that will put ‘West Side Story’ to shame” were part of the fun, along with silent auctions and games.e
