August 02, 2012 - This sushi contest is on a roll! In its second year,Get Your Roll On was bigger and better than ever. Held at the South Carolina Aquarium, the judged competition highlighted some of Charleston’s finest chefs, restaurants and their signature sushi roll recipes. Competing restaurants included J.Paul’z, O-Ku, Tsunami, Sushi Ninja, Tasti Thai and Local’s. For those who wanted more than sushi, other food options were available, and beer, wine and specialty sake drinks were also served up. A portion of the proceeds from the event went to Darkness to Light, a program that raises awareness of the prevalence and consequences of child sexual abuse.
