January 20, 2013 While Saturday was significantly cooler than last weekend’s near-record highs, folks still flocked to Folly for the annual Taste of Folly. Attendees checked out the food booths from local restaurants, the chili cook-off, the hot dog-eating contest and the new Battle of the Bartenders. In addition to all the food and drink fun, folks were entertained by the date auction and silent auction, the server Olympics and live music from Eric Penrod, Tim David and The Folly Beach Reggae All-stars. Families took advantage of the jump castles and other kid-centric entertainment. The event raised money for Folly Beach Parks and Rec.
