February 07, 2013 - Wednesday’s Celebrity Chef Tour Dinner at Cypress was all about bringing the experience of dining at New York’s historic James Beard House to the Lowcountry. The evening kicked off with an hour of passed hors d’oeuvres, wine and signature cocktails. Afterward, Cypress executive chef Craig Deihl joined culinary forces with Trevor Kunk (Blue Hill, New York), Tory McPhail (Commander’s Palace, New Orleans), Andrea Reusing (Lantern, Chapel Hill and 2011 James Beard Best Chef Southeast) and David Varley (Mina Group) to serve up a meal to remember. Each chef prepared a course that was paired with a wine selection from Cypress wine director Bill Netherland. The chefs discussed their dishes and methods at the conclusion of the meal. A portion of the proceeds benefitted the James Beard Foundation.
