February 10, 2013 - This month’s Second Sunday on King Street was one to remember as numerous heavy-hitting events had ticket and information tents. The BB&T Charleston Wine + Food Festival and Charleston Fashion Week had a presence, but it was the Southeastern Wildlife Exposition that took the cake this weekend. As SEWE is just around the corner – the expo begins Friday – some of the stores were celebrating by decorating their windows with a wildlife theme, many of which featured puppies from the Charleston Animal Society. In addition to the festival fun, Copper Penny celebrated the reopening of its newly remodeled Shooz with a reception, the Gibbes Museum of Art was offering free admission, and musicians lined the streets. The Wine + Food Festival is scheduled Feb. 28-March 3, while Fashion Week is set for March 19-23.
