March 17, 2013 - The inaugural Sweet Grass Music Festival on Saturday started off with a bang and continued the momentum through the day. The festival kicked off with a 5K along the bank of the Cooper River, with nods being given to the top three performers and the top in each age group. The run was followed up by a music festival at Patriots Point featuring local music as well as some of bluegrass’ finest. Performers at the family-friendly festival included Nothing Fancy, Sierra Hull, Balsam Range, IIIrd Tyme Out, and Rhonda Vincent. All proceeds from the festival went to charity.
