Second Sunday on King Street

Folks took advantage of the spring weather and headed out to this month’s Second Sunday. With a portion of King Street closed to vehicular traffic, restaurants, businesses and musicians spilled onto the streets. One of the highlights this month was a series of runway shows was presented by the Art Institute Fashion Club featuring House of Sage, Sam’s Closet, Bob Ellis Shoes and Copper Penny at King and Society streets. In addition, Le Creuset had a Taste of Tea Celebration complete with a tea sampling and prizes, Campo Marzio hosted Random Acts of Color with a big sale and spotters who rewarded people for wearing bright colors, the Charleston International Film Festival and Spoleto Festival USA had info booths set up and were selling tickets, Cos Bar had a Laura Mercier makeup artist on-site, Miss Summerville was at the Information Tent for meet and greets, and the Dee Norton Lowcountry Childrens Center was offering face painting, temporary tattoos and hair tinsel.
