August 18, 2013 Baseball and beer, it just goes together. Joseph P. Riley Jr. Park played host on Saturday to the 11th annual Ballpark Festival of Beers, which featured more than 100 varieties of beer. With local, national and international ales, stouts, lagers, pilsners and specialty brews, attendees braved the stormy weather for the opportunity to sample offerings from Abita Brewing, Frothy Beard, Miller Coors, Magic Hat, SweetWater and more. To temper the alcohol, attendees snacked on tasty treats from food trucks Geechee Island, Roti Rolls, Tokyo Crepes, and Dulce Sweet Tea and Treats. Adding to the atmosphere of fun was live musical performances by the Blue Plantation Band and Weigh Station, and a corn hole tournament hosted by Q104.5. By Marie Rodriguez.
