August 26, 2013 The Center for Women celebrated Women’s Equality Day a day early on Sunday with their second annual Be Brave Bash. Commemorating August 26, 1920, when voting rights for women officially became part of the U.S. Constitution, the event held at Alhambra Hall served as a fundraiser for the center. With food by Gourmet Bay Catering and an open wine bar, attendees nibbled and sipped as they enjoyed live music by Lindsey Holler, took part in a silent auction, participated in the interactive art collage, painted at Bottles ‘n Brushes’ Brush Bus and stuck a pose in the photo booth.
