September 01, 2013 Featuring all things scaly, slimy, creepy and crawly, the two-day Repticon wrapped up Sunday at the Omar Shrine Auditorium. Having debuted in the Holy City in 2004, this was the first year the event was held at the Mount Pleasant location. Hosted by the International Carolina Expo for Reptile & Amphibian Keepers, the event was a reptile-lover’s delight with vendors offering pets, supplies, feeders, cages, merchandise and more. Featuring numerous seminars, displays, raffles and more, it was the live animals on display that were the biggest draw, particularly the venomous ones.
