October 11, 2013 The Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry hosted its 10th annual gala at the Charleston Visitor Center Bus Shed on Thursday to raise money to support free scholarships, museum admissions, educational day camps and programming to underserved and special needs children and their families. Themed “Viva O Carnaval,” the gala featured a Rio de Janeiro-style block party compete with the colors, sights and sounds of Brazil. Attendees noshed and sipped on cocktails as they enjoyed live Brazilian music and capoeira demonstrations.
