November 05, 2013 - With the aroma of sugary and fried foods wafting in the air, the flash of blinking lights and neon signs, and the clang of games and carnival barkers, it can only mean one thing: The Coastal Carolina Fair is back in town. In its 57th year, the fair offers many a sentimental stroll down memory lane for those who enjoyed the rides, games, cuisine, sights and sounds in their youth. For others, it offers a chance to experience something new or different from their daily routine. Offering attendees a variety of sights, sounds and activities, the fair has something for everyone. With live music each night and “The Art of Flowers” flower show, the American Bull Riders Tour, an elephant show, 4-H, vendors, rides, games and more, there’s so much to take in you may have to go twice. The Coastal Carolina Fair runs through Nov. 10 at the Exchange Park, 9850 U.S. Highway 78, in Ladson. Go to coastalcarolinafair.org for more information.
