November 17, 2013 The bi-yearly multimedia arts festival Jail Break promised to be bolder and more “in your face” this time around, and with their punk theme, they didn’t disappoint. Held Saturday at the Old City Jail, the festival created by locals for locals and had everything from music to visual arts, dance, comedy, theater, literature, film, activism, light shows, local vendors and beyond. With the cells and halls of the jail overflowing with art, music and more, things inevitably spilled out onto the grounds. Introducing a new element this year in the spirit of punk, organizers created the first original collaborative performance piece of the festival called “Punk: Art Untethered,” which featured DanceFX and other creatives.
