November 22, 2013 This month’s Third Thursday event in and around Hutchinson Square in Summerville offered something a bit different: a “funeral” to “bury hunger.” You read that right. Summerville DREAM and Parks Funeral Home teamed up to “bury hunger,” asking Third Thursday attendees to fill a funeral hearse with non-perishable food items for needy families. All food collected benefits the Dorchester Senior Center and the Help of Summerville. In addition to the collection, folks were also able to browse the local shops while listening to live music from Lea Holz and the Windsor Hill Elementary students and the Charleston Hot Shots.
