March 08, 2014 Attendees of the BB&T Charleston Wine + Food Festivalís Passport to Pairings were in heaven on Friday as they indulged in an afternoon of wine and food pairings. With each of the featured wineries pouring a red and a white, each glass was paired with a dish made specially to complement each sip. Presented by Rewined Candles and The Local Palate magazine, the wines poured and presented by the 10 vineyard representatives were paired with dishes prepared by a trio of guest chefs, five Charleston chefs and two pastry chefs. Held at the Governor Thomas Bennett House, attendees strolled, sipped and tasted their way through the house, piazza and gardens to the music of the Bluestone Jazz Trio.
