March 28, 2014 The Charleston Animal Society hosted their latest event on Thursday at Hibernian Hall. The “All We Need is Love” Party was all about celebrating a “No Kill Community” and the 50th anniversary of The Beatles debut in America, promising to be anything but a “run-of-the-mill charitable fundraiser.” CAS said there would be no silent or live auctions and no other activities to continue raising money throughout the event, but promised an atmosphere that would be very much like an intimate concert. And they delivered. Featuring HELP!, a Beatles cover band, attendees were encouraged to dress in ’60s-style attire to enjoy an evening to raise funds to support Toby’s Fund, CAS’s fund to address the medical needs of ill, injured, abused and suffering animals; the ticket price of $272 per couple reflected “the average cost to save an animal’s life.”
