May 18, 2014 Inspired by the festive biergartens of Germany, Brittlebank Park was transformed into a pop-up beer garden for the third annual Charleston Beer Garden event. The all-day drinking party featured more than 30 craft brews from the Palmetto state and beyond, including Abita, Brooklyn, Crispin, Foothills, Holy City, Lagunitas, Leinenkugel, Lonerider, Oskar Blues, Palmetto, RJ Rockers, Sierra Nevada, Sweetwater, Terrapin and Thomas Creek. Attendees were able to learn about reviewing beer, pairing food with beer and getting started in home brewing at the Earth Fare Beer School. In addition, there was Beer Olympics Games, a cornhole tournament and more. A Homebrewers Village was also on-site offering folks the chance to meet local home brewers and sample their offerings. Live music added to the party atmosphere, with performances by Atlas Road Crew, The Dunder Chiefs, Whiskey Diablo, Regina Ferguson and New Galaxy.
