August 24, 2014 Baseballs and beer, the two go together like peanut butter and jelly, so it really come as no surprise that The Joe, home of the RiverDogs, would host a beer festival. Saturday marked the 12th annual Ballpark Festival of Beers at The Joe, an event that will offer attendees the chance to sample more than 100 varieties of beer, including American and international ales, stouts, lagers, pilsners and specialty brews. Presented by The Kickiní Chicken, the festival also featured live music by The Blue Plantation Band and Midnight City, corn hole and a number of local food trucks, including The Kickiní Chicken, Hello My Name is BBQ, Roti Rolls, Cast Iron and the Creole Food Truck.
