Dinner and drinks
On Tuesday, The Gin Joint owners MariElena and Joe Raya are partnering with guest chefs Lisa Dupar and Jonathan Zimmer on a five-course menu with drink pairings. The evening will feature a menu inspired by the Northwest and Southeast.
Dupar and Zimmer own Pomegranate Bistro in Seattle. Dupar is the author of the cookbook “Fried Chicken and Champagne.”
Tickets are $60 per person. Call 577-6111 to reserve. The Gin Joint is at 182 East Bay St.
The Grocery is now serving a “Five to Seven” menu in the bar Tuesdays through Saturdays from, you guessed it, 5-7 p.m. The special menu will feature items all priced $5-$7: food, wines, cocktails and beers.
The offerings will change nightly and are available at the bar only. The Grocery is at 4 Cannon St. Call 302-8825 or go to
