Shark Week just wouldn’t be complete without hearing those two life-changing notes from composer John Williams.
The S.C. Aquarium is holding numerous events during Shark Week, which kicks off Friday with the Shark, Rattle and Roll party (for more info, see Pages 18-19) and runs through Aug. 5.
But one of the highlights is definitely “Jaws” on the Lawn, which shows Aug. 2. The lawn opens at 7 p.m. and the movie is set to roll at dark. Bring chairs and blankets. Snacks, sodas and alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. The movie is free, but donations for the conservation programs at the aquarium will be accepted.

Outdoor Film Fest
From a flesh-eating fish to blood-sucking teens, this is another film that’s decidedly adult-geared (it’s rated R).
Cinebarre, 963 Houston Northcutt Blvd., in Mount Pleasant continues its summer movie series with a showing of “Lost Boys” on Wednesday.
Remember The Coreys? Yes, I’m talking about the boys of ’80s fame: Corey Haim and Corey Feldman. Well, this is the movie in which they last starred together, so it’s not one to be missed.
Seating starts at 7 p.m. and the movie will begin at dark; food, music and fun starts at 6 p.m. Admission is free, and don’t forget your blanket and/or chair.
For more info, go to cinebarre.com.
Starlight Cinemas
While dragons can be super scary, the ones in “How to Train Your Dragon” are less so as the film is geared toward the kiddos.
The film boasts the voice talents of Jay Baruchel, Gerard Butler, America Ferrera, Jonah Hill, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Kristen Wiig. And as all of them have done their fair share of comedy, you’re likely to chuckle more than a few times as you watch Baruchel’s character, Hiccup, befriend a dragon he once hoped to slay.
“How to Train Your Dragon” will show at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday on the Village Green at Freshfields Village on Johns Island between Kiawah and Seabrook islands. Before the show, be entertained by award-winning silhouette artist, songwriter and storyteller Clay Rice who will perform his “Lowcountry Legends Show.”
Sponsored by the town of Seabrook Island, the movie is free. Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or chairs.

Summer Kid Series
What happens when a bee finds out that humans consume honey?
He sues.
At least, that’s what happens in “Bee Movie.”
Carmike James Island 8, 1743 Central Park Road, will show the story of bee Barry B. Benson at 10 a.m. today for $2 (which covers a drink and popcorn, too).
For more info, call 762-4904.
Dive-In Movie
What’s better than floating around a pool for a few hours? Watching a movie while doing so!
Tonight, the pool at The Sanctuary on Kiawah Island is showing “A Cinderella Story: Once Upon a Song,” a family-friendly musical comedy.
The free film begins at 8:45 p.m. The Loggerhead Grill will extend its hours through the end of the event so that attendees may purchase food and drinks.
