This fourth annual event put on by the American College of the Building Arts is headed to Oz. In honor of the visit to the Emerald City, attendees are asked to break out their best attire for the occasion — ruby slippers, black hat, fresh straw and an oiled Tin Man suit, for example. Dance “Under the Rainbow” to music by the V-Tones and DJ C. Nile, and enjoy specialty cocktails and food from Oak Steakhouse, O-Ku, The Cocktail Club and Carter’s Kitchen. An auction also will be part of this fundraising event for the college.

When: 7-11 p.m. Thursday

Pro-Am Jam

NASCAR driver Denny Hamlin and Mark Bryan of Hootie & the Blowfish are combining the worlds of racing and music for the inaugural Denny & Mark’s Pro-Am Jam, hosted by the Student Transportation of America Education Foundation. The event kicks off Monday with a concert at the Family Circle Tennis Center, followed by a day of golf with the Celebrity Pro-Am on Tuesday. While the golf event is closed to the public, the concert is open to anyone and will include performances by Bryan and fellow members from Hootie & the Blowfish along with Steve Azar, Johnny Lee, Collective Soul’s Ed Roland, R.E.M.’s Mike Mills and Dan Tyminski. All proceeds from the event will go to the charitable organizations represented by Hamlin and Bryan, as well as STAEF.

When: Monday and Tuesday

Where: Family Circle Tennis Center and the Beresford Creek Golf Course on Daniel Island

Grammy-winning duo Mary Mary will be bringing its gospel groove to the Lowcountry. Touring in support of its latest studio album, “Go Get It,” Mary Mary will feature new songs as well as some of sisters Erica and Tina Campbell’s greatest hits. The opening act for the tour is Stellar Award-winning recording artist Isaac Carree, who will be supporting his new album, “Uncommon Me.”

Beatles, Bach and Beer

The Charleston Library Society kicks off its third season of the Unedited Concert Series Thursday as it weaves together the music of the Baroque master with the work of the British rock ’n’ roll legends. The one-hour performance will be by Charleston’s Bach Stars: Hazel Ketchum, John Holenko, Jonathan Kammer, Jonathan Gray and Laura Ball. Westbrook Brewery and Cannonborough Beverage Co. will provide beverages after the show. Before the show, from 4-6 p.m., merchants including Berlins, Sugar Snap Pea, Warren on King, Cynthia Rowley, Biggs Powell Interior Design & Antiques, Charleston Shoe Company, Atelier Gallery and Sylvan Gallery will host wine and hors d’oeuvres.
