Wiz Khalifa
Rapper Wiz Khalifa, probably best known for his three-times-platinum hit “Black and Yellow” that is the unofficial anthem for the Pittsburgh Steelers and played at Charleston Battery soccer games, is coming to Charleston. The 24-year-old Grammy nominee has embarked on The 2050 Tour with the Taylor Gang, and will be working hard so attendees can play hard come showtime. The concert also will feature special guests Juicy J, Chevy Woods, Lola Monroe, Tuki Carter and Berner.

‘Shrek the Musical’
Travel to the land of Far, Far Away and pay a visit to everyone’s favorite ogre, Shrek. Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks film, follow Shrek and Donkey as they go on a quest to save the feisty Fiona in this twisted fairy tale. Featuring all your favorite characters from the movie, the musical, part of the Best of Broadway series, adds 19 new songs to its repertoire.

Turkey Day Run and Gobble Wobble
The 35th annual 5K, the largest in South Carolina, winds participants through historic downtown Charleston before returning to Marion Square for a post-race party that includes free food and beverages (beer provided for those 21+), live music and an awards ceremony. The holiday tradition is notorious for drawing costumed folks out of the woodwork, so be on the lookout for elves, turkeys, Indians, pilgrims and more, and let’s not forget the decked out dogs. A Children’s Fun Run and activities also are planned.

Benefit Oyster Roast and Silent Auction
This ninth annual event put on by the Friends of McLeod will feature oysters, Smoky Oaks BBQ, hot dogs and fixings along with drinks. The silent auction will feature an array of items, from restaurant and dog grooming gift certificates up to this year’s special item: a private tour of McLeod Plantation for 12 followed by lunch or dinner at the plantation catered by Charleston Bay Gourmet. Live music will be provided by Henry’s Attic.
When: 2-6 p.m. Sunday

Gun and Knife Show
Peruse 350 tables of guns, knives, ammo, surplus, reloading supplies and shooting accessories from some of South Carolina’s biggest and best dealers. You’ll also have a chance to meet Ron “Porkchop” Mangum from the hit History Channel series “Ice Road Truckers.”

Celebrate the Season
This holiday driving tour and weekend festival returns for a second year. The driving tour is powered by renewable Santee Cooper Green Power and uses energy-efficient LED bulbs in all the displays. On the weekends beginning Dec. 1, a Holiday Fair offers additional season’s greetings with food, crafts, Stony Landing House tours, a carousel and Santa Claus. All gate proceeds will be donated to charities serving Berkeley County.
When: Friday-Dec. 30, closed Dec. 24-25: 6-9 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 5-9:30 p.m. Friday-Sunday
