1 - Spring Jam Music Fest
The inaugural Spring Jam Music Fest presented by The Bridge at 105.5 will feature 12 bands over two days. On the line-up: Truth & Salvage Co., Family of the Year, The Mowgli’s, Holy Ghost Tent Revival, Pierce Edens & The Dirty Work, The Vagabond Union, Alpharev, Sol Driven Train, The Dirty Guv’nahs, Ed Sheeran, The Corduroy Road and Stop Light Observations. The rain or shine event is family-friendly and will include an arts and crafts village, food and drinks, and other fun spring activities. An official after-party will be held 8 p.m. Saturday at The Royal American, 970 Morrison Drive; admission is $10.

2 - Charleston Fashion WeekIn its seventh year, Baker Motor Company Charleston Fashion Week has invaded Marion Square for five days of runway shows. Each day kicks off with a trip to The Belk Tent, where the Southern retailer will be celebrating 125 years with designer meet-and-greets. Things then move into the Style Lounge for the pre-party, where DJs will be spinning and drinks will be pouring. Attendees then head into the tent for a series of runway shows featuring local retailers, Emerging Designer competitors and featured designers. A number of special guests will be in attendance this year, including Ashanti, Christian Siriano, Antonio Azzuolo, Johnson Hartig and Cynthia Rowley.

3 - Circus of the StarsBilled as the “world’s largest circus under the big top,” the Cole Bros. Circus of the Stars has been entertaining families for more than a century. The three-ring circus will feature clowns, magicians, an aerial ballet, the Human Cannonball, The Thunderdome, elephants and Bengal tigers.

4 - ‘Music of the Beatles’The North Charleston Pops! closes its inaugural season with a special performance of “Music of The Beatles.” The show will have you swaying on your feet and singing to Beatles favorites. Song such as “Yesterday,” “I Want to Hold Your Hand,” “The Long and Winding Road,” “Penny Lane,” “Eleanor Rigby,” “Let It Be” and “Hey Jude” are on the play-list. Kentucky-based musical group The Rewinders will join the Pops! for this walk down Abbey Road.

5 - Festival of Houses and GardensThe Historic Charleston Foundation hosts the 66th annual Spring Festival of Houses and Gardens, a month-long peak behind the private garden gates and historic thresholds of some of the Holy City’s homes. This series of award-winning tours showcases Charleston’s distinctive architecture, history, gardens and culture. Tours feature seven to 10 properties each day in one of 11 neighborhoods, dating from the American Colonial period through the antebellum and Victorian eras to the early 20th century. In addition to the tours, the festival will be kicked off by the 10th annual Charleston Antiques Show (today-Sunday at Memminger Auditorium, 56 Beaufain St.), which will feature period furnishings, vintage jewelry, fine art and silver. Other special events include a concert series, wine and spirit tastings, lectures and more.

6 - Masters of the Building Arts FestivalThe American College of the Building Arts will celebrate the modern artisan with its ninth annual Masters of the Building Arts Festival. The main event of the week-long festival will feature demonstrations in the school’s six areas of study: timber framing, stone carving, masonry, ironwork, plaster and carpentry. Regional artisans will exhibit their craft specializations, including Hoffman Forge (iron), Ash Woodworking (millwork), Mike Lauer Studios (plaster), Arris Builders (timber framing) and Clint Button (stone). There will be more than a dozen lectures led by regional and national experts, including decorative artists Allen and Ina Brousseau Marx, stone builder Clay Chapman, developer Mark Regalbuto, woodcarver Mary May and the artisans from HGTV Dream Home on Kiawah.

7 - ‘Atomic Basie’The Charleston Jazz Orchestra’s fifth anniversary season is in full swing with a tribute to the Count Basie Orchestra. The show will feature music from the legendary 1958 album “The Atomic Mr. Basie.”
