Presented by Charleston Scene and The Post and Courier, the bi-annual Food Truck Rodeo will lasso up a selection of food offering, live music, exhibitors and more for a day of fun.
Featuring 15 locally owned food trucks with specialties that run the gamut of cuisine, the lineup includes Refuelers Mobile Cafe, Auto Banh, Barbeque Joint, The Creole Food Truck, Cast Iron, Coastal Crust, Diggity Doughnuts, Foodie Truck, Dulce, Hello My Name is BBQ, Jack's Cosmic Dogs, King of Pops, Little Star of the Caribbean, Outta My Huevos and Moose's Mobile BBQ. Live entertainment will be provided throughout the day by Brave Baby, Brady Smith, Tidal Jive, Cranford and Sons and Guilt Ridden Troubadours. A number of exhibitors, including Lisa's Unique Creations, Slather Brand Foods and Social Mocktails will be set up on-site. Beer and wine will be available for purchase. Bring your lawn chairs and your friendly pets, but leave the coolers at home.

Following tradition, the event wrapping up the 17-day Spoleto Festival USA will be one you don't want to miss. The daytime portion will feature side-stage performances by 'Olu'Olu, Ruby the Rabbitfoot and Mandolin Orange, while the headliners will take the stage later that night before an impressive fireworks display. The Red Stick Ramblers, described as “a Cajun/swing/jazz/honky-tonk band,” will take the main stage at 8:30 p.m. Throughout the event, make sure to swing by the Beer Garden for offerings from the Palmetto Brewing Co. and picnic fare such as fried chicken, barbecue, biscuits, potato salad and coleslaw from the Middleton Place Restaurant. The finale will be held rain or shine.
When: Sunday, gates open at 3:30 p.m. and headliners take the stage at 8:30 p.m.

Bark for Your Brew
Ahead of Sunday's game pitting the Charleston RiverDogs against the Asheville Tourists, spend an afternoon sipping on beers with your pup. The dog-friendly event will feature more than 30 craft beers being served up for the sipping. This year's participants include Thomas Creek, Founders, Holy City, Frothy Beard, Brooklyn, SweetWater, Oskar Blues, Lagunitas and Foothills, among others. The admission price includes tickets to the game. And pets are reminded to keep their owner on a leash, and if you don't have a pet, it's not a problem.

Mount Pleasant International BeerFest
A Snappy Event, the town of Mount Pleasant and Q104.5 have teamed up to bring you a day of “Great beer. Great music. Great food.” The annual event will feature 25-30 breweries and a selection of around 75 craft beers from around the world for your sampling pleasure. There also will be live music from local bands, with The Bushels headlining the event, craft and food vendors, and more. The festival is open to all ages, though an ID is required for bar service, and will be held rain or shine. Animals should be left at home.

Formerly the Charleston Burlesque Festival, this fourth annual weekend event will showcase burlesque, variety, vaudeville and musical entertainment from all over the world. With performances, workshops, parties, music and a pageant, this weekend is sure to entertain. Featured performers this year include reigning Tease Queen Donna Denise, Miss Orchid Mei, Vivian Mir Ann, Freya West, Skye Paige, Sweetest Tease 2012 Ida Claire, Most Classic 2012, Smokin' McQueen, Producers' Choice 2012 Iris Le'Mour and Miss Honey Duvet.

Grass in the Hall: The Black Iron Gathering, The Bushels and Nu-Blu
For the second show in the Grass in the Hall concert series, Awendaw Green has brought together The Black Iron Gathering, The Bushels and Nu Blu for a three-in-one show. The Black Iron Gathering is a band categorized under the “bluegrass/punk/party grass or stomp-grass” genre, while The Bushels blend bluegrass instruments with acoustic rock. Bluegrass band Nu-Blu is all about crossing genres to entertain with “a unique and driving blend.” The event supports the Lowcountry Biodiversity Foundation.

The younger brother of Backstreet Boy Nick Carter, Aaron came into his own as a pop and hip-hop singer at a young age. Performing since he was 7, Aaron has numerous hit singles to his credit, including “I Want Candy,” “Aaron's Party (Come Get It),” “That's How I Beat Shaq” and “Bounce.” While busy the last few years with television appearances, including being on Season 9 of “Dancing With the Stars,” the singer is making the rounds on his After Party Tour, his first since 2005. Also performing at the 16-and-over event will be Alexis Babini, Alexander Cardinale and The 3 Dudes.

Blue Hawaiian Luau
Break out the Hawaiian shirts and leis! The Beach Boys' David Marks and Dean Torrence of Jan and Dean will be making a special live appearance with the Surf City Allstars at Cinebarre's Blue Hawaiian Luau. The event will feature a limbo contest, air guitar contest, a “Wipe Out” drum contest, hula hoop contest and more. The event will feature games such as beer pong, corn hole and a dunking booth. There also will be a bounce house for the kids. The luau will commence with a showing of Elvis' “Blue Hawaii” at 9 p.m. on the inflatable outdoor screen. Food and drink will be available for purchase at this rain-or-shine event.
