Charleston Lebowski Celebration

The Dude abides. Join the Charleston Music Hall as it embarks on the first event in a film series featuring a showing of “The Big Lebowski.” Teaming up with The Alley, the night will be dedicated to the Dude. Complete with “caucasians” (it’s a drink), a costume contest (dress as your favorite character for a chance to win a suitcase full of prizes), Lebowski trivia, special bowling lanes, a DJ and more. The film, rated R, will be shown at the Charleston Music Hall with the after-party being held at The Alley. For those unfamiliar with the cult classic, Jeff Bridges stars as Jeff Lebowski, an unemployed slacker and avid bowler nicknamed The Dude. Antics ensue after a case of mistaken identity (there’s a millionaire named Jeffrey Lebowski) leads to some damage at The Dude’s place.

When: Thursday, the film starts at 7:30 p.m. with the after-party starting at 9:30 p.m.

Where: Charleston Music Hall, 37 John St., and The Alley, 131 Columbus St.

Price: $10 in advance, $12 the day of the show
