Grammy-winner John Mayer recently announced additional tour dates after a successful summer run, including a stop at the North Charleston Coliseum.
Set to perform locally on Dec. 12, this is the singer-songwriter’s first tour following a three-year hiatus.
Also performing will be Season 11 “American Idol” winner Phillip Phillips.
Mayer, who recently released his sixth album, “Paradise Valley,” is widely known for his guitar skills and his numerous hit songs, including “Waiting on the World to Change,” “Your Body Is a Wonderland,” “Say” and “Daughters,” among others.
“Paradise Valley” debuted at No. 1 in four countries, ranking in the Top 10 in another eight countries.
Tickets for the Dec. 12 show at the North Charleston Coliseum go on sale at 10 a.m. Sept. 20. Tickets can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com, the North Charleston Coliseum box office, all Ticketmaster outlets or charged by phone 800-745-3000.
Mayer is using the U.S. tour to raise funds and awareness of the effects of post-traumatic stress on military veterans. One dollar from each tour ticket sold in the U.S. will go to the Northern California Institute for Research and Education.
