America’s Got Talent Live Tour

Fans of the top-rated “America’s Got Talent” will have a chance to see their Season 8 favorites live when the show’s first-ever tour makes a stop in the Lowcountry. With a lineup led by the latest $1 million winner, dancer Kenichi Ebina, the stage show will feature the talent of magician Collins Key, comedian Taylor Williamson, singer Cami Bradley, the “bad boys of hand balancing” The KriStef Brothers, country crooner Jimmy Rose and Tone the Chiefrocca performing his “B-Double-O-T-Y” hit.

Amos Lee


Amos Lee is bringing his Mountains of Sorrow, Rivers of Song Tour to the Lowcountry. Having recently released his fifth studio album of the same name, Lee has branched out into new territory, “working with a broader palette of textures and instrumentation yet retaining the trenchant impact of the scenes, characters and stories that he is renowned for.” Having toured with artists such as Bob Dylan, Norah Jones, Elvis Costello, Adele and the Dave Matthews Band, the University of South Carolina graduate will appear with special guest Hurray for the Riff Raff.

Charleston Holiday Market


The holiday season is upon us, and the Charleston Holiday Market is a great way to kick off celebrating the season. Oyster Shindig


The Summerville Family YMCA will host its eighth annual Oyster Shindig, a fundraiser for the YMCA Annual Support Campaign for children and families who require financial assistance in order to take part in YMCA programs. Featuring all-you-can-eat steamed oysters, wings, pizza and various desserts, attendees will definitely get their fill. Live entertainment will be provided by the East Coast Party Band, which is sure to have folks out on the dance floor shagging. As an added incentive, all tickets purchased can be redeemed for a free round of golf at Pine Forest Country Club.

Shuckin’ for a Cause

FamilyCorps, a nonprofit that provides parents and other caregivers with support, education and resources utilizing evidenced-based programs and practices, is hosting its fourth annual Shuckin’ for a Cause fundraiser. The event will include oysters, barbecue and all the fixings, live music by Analog Daze and a silent auction. A bar will be set up and two drink tickets are included in the purchase price.

Smoke on the Harbor BBQ Throwdown

A fully sanctioned national event with the Kansas City Barbeque Society, the second annual Smoke on the Harbor BBQ Throwdown will feature two days of barbecue competition. Public sampling of chicken wings and pork butts will be available for purchase, along with numerous other food and drink options. A cocktail competition, cooking demonstrations, live music and a kids zone will round out the family-friendly fun.

Kiawah Island Motoring Retreat

If you’re into cars, then this is the event for you. The Kiawah Island Motoring Retreat has expanded to a three-day event, with the main event being held Saturday. Attendees will get to take in more than 30 Concours-quality cars and more than 60 classic, collectible, exotic, antique and special-interest cars. Food and drinks will be available for purchase on-site. The expanded list of activities includes a valuation seminar, gala, road tour and brunch.
