Cheap Trick: With more than 35 years in the industry, Cheap Trick’s live show is likely one you don’t want to miss. WEZL’s Evening With the Stars

WEZL’s Evening with the Stars is billed as more than “just” a country music concert. “It’s a night of storytelling and an intimate evening with some of Nashville’s biggest and brightest stars.” Benefitting the Medical University of South Carolina Children’s Hospital, the seventh annual show will be headlined by former Brooks and Dunn vocalist Ronnie Dunn, who is slated to perform Brooks and Dunn hits as well as some of his solo hits, including “Bleed Red” and his current hit “Kiss You There.” Also to take the stage that night will be Craig Morgan, of “That’s What I Love About Sundays” fame, and reigning Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music Vocal Duo of the Year Thompson Square, singers of the No. 1 singles “Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not” and “If I Didn’t Have You.” And recently added to the lineup was CMA nominee for Best New Artist Brett Eldredge, best known for his recent No. 1 hit “Don’t Ya.”

Lowcountry Animal Rescue oyster roast

Lowcountry Animal Rescue, a volunteer-run nonprofit that provides medical care and foster homes to animals in need of a home, will be holding its first oyster roast fundraiser. Serving up Bull’s Bay oysters, chili and more, attendees will be able to enjoy the Carolina-Clemson game on the 70-inch screen and bid on items in a silent auction.
