Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage have again taken their Emmy-nominated series "MythBusters" on the road, and are making a stop in the Lowcountry over the weekend. Their live show, called "MythBusters: Behind the Myths," will feature an evening of on-stage experiments and audience participation, along with video and behind-the-scenes stories from their TV series. Now in its 10th season, the series is one of the most-watched for Discovery Channel. On the show, co-hosts Hyneman and Savage aim to prove or debunk urban myths through experiments.

In years past, this event has been known as the Matzo Ball. Gaining a new name for its seventh iteration, the goal has not change. Hosted by the Young Adult Division of the Charleston Jewish Federation, a local networking organization, the event occurs simultaneously in cities across the U.S. and boasts the tagline, "If you don't have a tree, you don't have an excuse!" Welcoming all people regardless of religious preference, the 21-and-over party will offer a night of fun that includes hors d'oeuvres, an open bar and more.

This weekend serves as your last chance to catch the premiere year of Santa's Naughty & Nice Burlesque. Presented by Sprinkles Productions, the show is an original, interactive musical event that evokes the spirit of burlesque as portrayed in Hollywood films from the 1930s to the 1950s. Celebrating the style of choreographer Jack Cole, the cast includes professional headline singers, the signature Holy City Harlettes and "Tabletop Tootsies," who serve drinks.

"Catch the bright lights of Broadway without leaving town." Yet another event that wraps up this weekend is Brad and Jennifer Moranz's Christmas Special, an all-new two-hour musical show featuring traditional and contemporary Christmas songs and carols, along with yuletide comedy. Starring a cast of 30 singers, dancers and musicians from all over the country, this show has become a holiday tradition, seen by more than 8,000 people annually. Leading the cast is Broadway performer Brad Moranz and Jennifer Moranz, a former Radio City Music Hall Rockette.
