A series that was supposed to wind down on Wednesday found itself rescheduled due to the threat of inclement weather.
On Tuesday afternoon, it was announced that the Wine Down Wednesday event at Old Towne Creek County Park was to be pushed back a week, with the event now schedule for 5-7 p.m. next Wednesday.
Tickets purchased in advance for the April 30 event will be valid for the May 7 event.
Put on by the Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission, Wine Down Wednesday offers folks a chance to check out a park that is not yet open to the public. Attendees will be able to enjoy wine, hors d'oeuvres and live music while taking in the sights of the new West Ashley park.
Admission is $20, $15 for Charleston County residents, and includes a commemorative wine glass.
