The NotWedding Charleston
Are you planning a wedding? If so, consider heading to the second NotWedding Charleston, an alternative bridal show in the form of a big, fake wedding. "Guests" are invited to enjoy a ceremony, dinner and a dance-party reception as they see wedding vendors in action. Hand-selected vendors will perform their services as they would at a real wedding as attendees watch an already-married Charleston area couple renew their vows. With vendors totaling 45 as of last week, this event is like Pinterest in person. Launched in Atlanta in 2008, The NotWedding has since grown into multiple markets all over the country. The NotWedding came to Charleston for the first time last year with an event at the Historic Rice Mill Building. The second NotWedding Charleston will be held at Boone Hall and will feature live music from The Midnight City.
When: Wednesday, with the ceremony planned for 7 p.m.
Where: The Cotton Dock at Boone Hall Plantation, 1235 Long Point Road, Mount Pleasant
