O.A.R. with Phillip Phillips
Rock band O.A.R. and singer-songwriter Phillip Phillips announced last month that their joint summer tour would benefit Habitat for Humanity in support of the organization's mission of providing safe, decent, affordable housing in partnership with low-income families. The 24-city joint tour comes to the Lowcountry to kick off the weekend. To date, O.A.R. (short for Of a Revolution) has sold close to 2 million albums and more than 2 million concert tickets, including two sold-out shows at Madison Square Garden. Having just released its eighth studio album, "The Rockville LP," the band's hits include the Platinum radio single "Shattered," "Peace," "Black Rock" and "That Was a Crazy Game of Poker." Also performing will be Season 11 "American Idol" winner Phillip Phillips, known for his songs "Home," "Where We Came From" and "Gone, Gone, Gone." Last in the area while on tour with John Mayer, the Georgia native released his sophomore album, "Behind the Light," in May.
