World Record attempt
The Charleston Regional Transportation Authority (CARTA) and the Charleston RiverDogs are teaming up this weekend to see if they can set a world record for largest kazoo ensemble. At Saturday's game, which will see the RiverDogs play the Rome (Ga.) Braves, attendees will receive an official wristband and a kazoo from Beaufort-based Kazoobie Kazoos. After the final out, a group of conductors will lead the crowd in a rendition of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame." The current record is 5,190 kazoos set in England. Will the Lowcountry steal their buzz?
When: Saturday; game starts at 6:05 p.m.
Where: Joseph P. Riley Jr. Park, 360 Fishburne St.
