'The Ballad of Shovels & Rope'
"It ain't what you got, it's what you make." That's the tagline for the feature-length documentary "The Ballad of Shovels & Rope," which follows the husband-and-wife Charleston duo from working for tips to being named Emerging Artist of the Year at the Americana Music Honors & Awards. The film about American folk duo Michael Trent and Cary Ann Hearst focuses on "the tours and detours" as they recorded and released their critically acclaimed first album "O' Be Joyful." Showing for one night only, band manager Paul Bannister, also a co-producer of the film, will be on-hand for a Q&A session after the screening.
When: 7:30 p.m. Monday
