Race for the Cure fundraiser
Race for the Cure team the Shotgun Fairies is inviting folks to saddle up for their "showdown with cancer." With all of the proceeds going to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, a series of runs that raises significant funds and awareness for the fight against breast cancer, the Shotgun Fairies' fundraiser aims to be one of the largest in the country with a goal of raising $100,000. With the local race set for Oct. 18, this event will feature live music, food from Cru Catering, specialty drinks, a raffle and more. The live and silent auction is slated to be the highlight of the evening, with more than 100 items and events up for grabs. From a five-night stay at Wild Dunes to a custom golf cart to gift certificates from numerous restaurants, the list is impressive, so don your jeans and cowboy boots and get that bidding arm ready.
