EDITOR'S NOTE: Scenester is all about you. Think of it as our 'reader of the issue.' Want to be a scenester? E-mail us at scene@postandcourier.com
Job: Communication Account Executive at Obviouslee Marketing
Song that best describes you: So I found this online quiz that tells you what song you are and my result was "Don't Feel Like Dancing," by the Scissor Sisters. I guess that will do.
On a Saturday night, you are usually: One of two places...downtown somewhere on Market/East Bay Street or at home cooking dinner for friends.
Favorite event in Charleston and why: Boone Hall Oyster Roast. I love oysters and being outside so it's like killing two birds with one stone.
Talents/Hobbies: I can touch my tongue to my nose...play the viola, enjoy singing (some say I can carry a tune...I'm planning on doing some busquing this summer to pay for gas on a trip I am taking to Portland, Ore.), creative writing.
CD in your CD player right now: I don't own CDs sadly (iTunes is just so convenient) but if I did I would have Ingrid Michaelson's newest CD "Everybody" or MGMT's "Oracular Spectacular"
Best thing about Charleston: The amount of amazing music talent we have in Charleston is wonderful. I love hearing new bands. The arts in general make it a great place to be. AND there are so many ways to enjoy Charleston's amazing outdoors!
Worst thing about Charleston: The brutally hot, sweaty summers. I mean, I know it could be worse (big thank you to our troops in Iraq), but having to change your clothing three times a day sucks.
Favorite book: David Sedaris "Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim"
If your friends described you in one word, what would it be?: passionate
How would you describe yourself, in one word: indecisive
Things you do in your spare time: Kayaking, reading, writing, rock climbing, backpacking, traveling, listening to live music.
Biggest accomplishment: I'm still young and hope that one day I will have more to say when asked this question but for now I will have to say getting my first big-girl job working for Obviouslee Marketing right out of school was a huge accomplishment in my eyes. I worked hard to have myself set with a job after graduation and was able to accomplish this goal. I know, boring.
In love?: I love my wonderful family and all of my friends that put up with me. Oh, and finding a good parking space on any given Friday or Saturday night downtown.
