From 6-9 p.m., the Ronald McDonald House Red Shoe Society, along with the S.C. Stingrays, will hold a Celebrity Bartender event at Mad River Bar and Grille, 32 North Market St. For a $5 donation, guests can enjoy a free drink and free food. All $5 entry donations, as well as half of all profits from tips, will go directly to support critically ill children and their families staying at the Ronald McDonald House.

Shrimp Records Fest, Food Drive & Vinyl Saturday Sale at Monster Music will be 10 a.m.-10 p.m. For every can or nonperishable item you bring, the store will give you $1 off any CD or DVD. (There is a $4 off any one item max.) And like every Vinyl Saturday, all records are 20 percent off all day long. Music will be performed by the folks at Shrimp Records - you'll see Michael Trent, Cary Ann Hearst, Bill Carson, Sadler Vaden & Joel Hamilton starting at 2 p.m. Monster Music is at 946 Orleans Road.

Freshfields Village and Barrier Island Free Medical Clinic are inviting everyone to come and sample a variety of wines and beers to the 4th Annual Lowcountry Wine and Beer Tasting. The festival will offer wines from all over the world and an array of crafted beers, all accompanied by delicious Lowcountry cuisine, plus live music provided by the Cobblestone Quartet. The event will run 4-7:30 p.m. Proceeds for this event will go to Barrier Island Free Medical Clinic. Tickets are $30 in advance or $35 at the gate. In Freshfields Village, tickets are available at Beachwalker Rentals, Indigo Books, Kiawah Island Real Estate, Resort Quest, Guest Services at Freshfields Village. Freshfields Village is at the crossroads between Kiawah and Seabrook Islands.

A salsa social grand opening will begin at 9 p.m. at Perks Lounge, 3075 Ashley Phosphate Road. The night is designed for salsa dancers to meet and dance the night away. DJ Argento will provide the music. Buy one and get one free drinks all night.

See the classic film "Spinal Tap" at 8 p.m. outside, for Eye Level Art's "Movies on the Green" series at 103 Spring St. The movie's a mockumentary about a filmmaker making a documentary about a once-famous, now almost forgotten British heavy metal band. Tickets are $5 at the door. The film will be shown inside the gallery if weather is uncooperative.

From 5:30-8:30 p.m., Rick Rhodes Photography and Imaging, 1842 Belgrade Ave, will present the opening of "Emphobia." The show features work by locally born artist Mike Edge, displaying a collection of surreal artwork that depicts emotional turmoil juxtaposed with contradicting elements.
